WILDFLOWER BLEND — SHADE AREA
A mix of fast-blooming annual wildflowers and long-term perennial wildflowers, built for areas that only get 1–4 hours of daily sun. You'll get quick color the first season, and a bed that keeps coming back and filling in over the years. Ideal for beds, borders, and containers.

Sow: Plant by November to catch the fall rains and establish before frost. Roughen soil to 1–1.5" depth, remove weeds, and distribute seed evenly. Tamp down by walking or rolling the area. Plant no deeper than 1/4".

Water: Keep area moist until seeds germinate.

Coverage: About 5–7 sq. ft. per 1/2 teaspoon scoop

Bay Area Note: Our shady, coastal-influenced spots stay cool and moist longer into spring, so this blend does well with an early spring sowing (Feb–March) or take advantage of fall/early winter rains and sow in October–November for a strong head start before spring bloom.

Blend includes: Gypsophila elegans, Iberis umbellata, Alyssum maritimum, Cheiranthus allionii, Chrysanthemum shasta, Clarkia elegans, Collinsia bicolor, Coreopsis lanceolata, Cynoglossum amabile, Delphinium consolida, Dianthus barbatus, Echinacea purpurea, Linum perenne, Nemophila insignis, Nemophila maculata, Papaver rhoeas
